A Journey of Discovery: Magebit at VivaTechnology in Paris

Innovation and exploration have always been at the heart of Magebit. This time, our quest for knowledge took us to the City of Lights, Paris, for the VivaTechnology conference. The event was an exceptional opportunity to delve into tech innovation and forge new relationships within the industry.

From June 13-18, 2023, our team embarked on this insightful adventure, armed with professional acumen and an eagerness to learn.

Meet our Delegates

Magebit was represented by Justīne Leimante and Marija Vaivade. Their combined expertise and passion for e-commerce solutions set the tone for our participation in the event.

They joined a global assembly of professionals, tech enthusiasts and thought leaders, solidifying Magebit's presence in the e-commerce community.

The Objectives of our Voyage

Our purpose in attending the VivaTechnology conference was twofold.

One aspect was the pursuit of knowledge and understanding the latest trends in our industry. We were privileged to attend lectures and presentations from industry leaders such as:

The second goal was to expand our network and make connections with innovative e-commerce solution providers and companies selling products online. The event was a hotbed of innovative ideas, allowing us to explore various types of robots, cutting-edge healthcare technologies, and new sustainable materials.

A Dive into Innovation

In between conference sessions, we had the opportunity to see up close the innovations that are shaping our world. We encountered delivery robots, nursing assistants, and even private flying mono-transporters.

Our exploration of health technologies led us to devices and apps for skin care diagnosis and phone add-ons. We learned about new sustainable materials like mushroom-made fake leather and plastics derived from natural resources.

Achievements Unlocked

Our Paris trip was not just a business trip. It was a platform for learning, networking and sharing.

Beyond acquiring new insights, we also established contact with about 5 companies looking to improve their e-commerce websites, set up a call with a translation solution provider interested in Magento extension development, as well as compiled a list of valuable conversations to share with our team back home.

Unforgettable Moments

Perhaps the most unexpected encounter was with an entrepreneur who produces cork blocks for interior design elements. Surprisingly, he knows our former president, Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga, and has visited Latvia numerous times.

This chance meeting served as a heartwarming reminder of the small, interconnected world we live in, even as we explored the vast field of e-commerce.
