Get insights from conversations shaping Baltic eCommerce
On May 28, the eCommerce Latvia Community gathered at the Magebit office in Riga for the seventh edition of the eCommerce Latvia Community Meetup.
The evening brought together an opportunity to discuss challenges shaping the Baltic eCommerce landscape. Through a series of talks and an open discussion session, attendees shared practical insights, real-world experiences, and fresh perspectives on everything from B2B commerce and niche products to payment-driven conversion optimization.
Bringing the community together
Hosted by Magebit and LATEKA, the meetup was designed to create an open environment where industry professionals could learn from one another, exchange ideas, and build valuable connections.
The event featured three speakers from different corners of the eCommerce ecosystem, each offering a unique perspective on today's market challenges.

“Even the Big Players Struggle: eCommerce Challenges Inside a Large B2B Organization”
Ivars Klints, Segment Manager (B2C) at Inter Cars, offered an inside look at the realities of managing eCommerce within a large-scale B2B company. His session explored the operational hurdles, internal complexities, and strategic considerations that come with driving digital growth in an enterprise environment.
“Selling a Niche Product in a Saturated Market: How to Stand Out When Everyone Sells the Same Thing”
Marta Šulce, Founder of Silmachy, shared her experience building a brand in a crowded market. The session focused on differentiation, positioning, and the strategies businesses can use to create a distinct identity and attract loyal customers
“How Payments Impact eCommerce Conversion Across the Baltics”
Valērija Kaskeviča, Senior E-commerce Project Manager at Klix Marketing and Sales Unit, AS Citadele banka, explored the connection between payment experiences and conversion rates. Her presentation highlighted how payment methods, checkout experiences, and customer expectations influence purchasing behavior in Baltic markets.

The formal sessions were followed by an open discussion where attendees exchanged ideas, shared experiences, and discussed the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of eCommerce in Latvia and the wider Baltic region.

The evening concluded with networking and drinks, giving attendees time to continue conversations in a relaxed setting.
