Cursor Meetup Riga
About Cursor Meetup Riga 2026
Cursor Meetup Riga was the first Cursor community meetup in Latvia, held on the evening of 12 March 2026 (18:00–21:00) in the Kampenhauzens Hall of the Konventa Sēta hotel in Riga’s Old Town. Magebit organised it for developers, founders and AI enthusiasts who use the Cursor AI code editor in their daily work, with Nick Miller, a software engineer at Cursor, as the guest from the Cursor team.
The format was practical rather than theoretical: short community walkthroughs, live demos, a Q&A with Cursor and networking. Registration closed with 155 sign-ups; event details were published on Luma.
Magebit at Cursor Meetup Riga
Role: Organiser and host
Opening: Artūrs Krūze, Magebit co-founder and Cursor Ambassador for Riga, opened the evening and introduced the speakers.
Why we ran it: Magebit’s developers work in Cursor every day, and we bring the same AI-assisted development to merchants’ projects. We believe that workflow improves fastest when people compare notes in the open, so we brought the local Cursor community into one room. Berat Canpolat and Jurijs Avsiščers helped make the evening happen.
Highlights
- Q&A with the Cursor team: Nick Miller answered technical questions, explained how certain features are meant to be used and gave a glimpse of what is coming next.
- Show and tell: Community members walked through what they had built with Cursor in real projects, including a talk on running production-grade services on hardware at home.
- Live demos: Three Latvian developers opened up their own setups and showed how Cursor fits into their day.
- The “Prompt Vault”: Attendees swapped the prompts, shortcuts and workflows that save them the most time.
- Networking: Developers, founders and product people from Latvia’s AI scene met in person, and the turnout made the case for a bigger venue next time.
