About GITEX Global 2024

GITEX Global 2024 was a five-day technology exhibition held on 14–18 October 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre, the 44th edition ran under the theme “Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy”, with the main show in Dubai and the Expand North Star startup event at Dubai Harbour. It drew technology buyers, governments, startups and investors, and the organisers reported more than 6,500 exhibitors and governments from over 180 countries. Magebit at GITEX Global 2024

We exhibited as part of the Latvian pavilion, introducing our e-commerce development and AI solutions to visitors from the Middle East and beyond. The stand screen played a video on Hyvä, the fast Adobe Commerce frontend we build on, and the team wore Hyvä badges on their lanyards.

Highlights

• Record scale — the organisers reported 6,500 exhibitors, 1,800 startups and 1,200 investors, the highest international participation in the show’s history.
• AI everywhere — the AI economy theme ran through the halls, from the conference stages to exhibitors such as UAE technology group G42 and its Intelligence Grid experience on how AI could power daily life.
• Future mobility — the XPeng AeroHT eVTOL flying car was among the innovations showcased to visitors.
• Expand North Star — the startup and investor event ran alongside the main show at Dubai Harbour.
