Exploring the Craft of AI-Native Development With the Latvian Cursor Community

Cursor is quickly finding its place in day-to-day work across Latvia’s growing AI community. To connect the people putting it into practice, Magebit organized the first-ever Cursor meetup in Latvia, an evening dedicated to the use of modern AI-powered workflows.

We looked at what people are building, how they’re using Cursor, and what they’ve learned along the way. Special thanks to Nick Miller from the Cursor team for flying in and joining the Riga community in person. We’d also like to give a huge shoutout to our CEO, Artūrs Krūze, Berat Canpolat, and Jurijs Avsiščers for leading the charge and helping make the meetup possible.

The conversations throughout the evening showed how much the local developer community values spaces like this. This meetup was just the beginning, and more are already in the works.

Who Attended?

What Was on the Agenda

Throughout the evening, we moved between quick project walkthroughs, practical demos, and group conversations. There was less theory, more reality, and lots of chances to compare notes with other builders in the room.

Show & Tell: Short, practical walkthroughs from community members who are using Cursor in real projects. They shared what they've tried, what worked and what they built.

Q&A with the Cursor team: Our special guest from Cursor, Nick Miller answered technical questions, clarified how certain features are meant to be used, and shared a bit of insight into what’s coming next.

The "Prompt Vault": The small stuff often makes the biggest difference. People brought the prompts, shortcuts, and workflows that saved them time, and picked up new ones from others.

Live Demos: Three Latvian developers opened up their day-to-day setup and showed how Cursor fits into their daily workflows.

Networking: Developers, founders, and AI enthusiasts from the local scene got to meet each other. Many collaborations start in rooms like this.

The Idea Behind the Meetup

Magebit works closely with development teams adopting modern tooling across commerce and digital products. We see firsthand how quickly AI-supported workflows are evolving, and we believe progress happens faster when knowledge is shared openly. This meetup was our way of supporting the local builder ecosystem and creating space for practical conversations.
