Ecommerce Expo 2026
About Ecommerce Expo 2026
Ecommerce Expo 2026 was a two-day e-commerce trade show and conference held on 23–24 September 2026 at ExCeL London. Organised by CloserStill Media and co-located with Technology for Marketing, it is billed as the UK’s largest e-commerce event: 10,000+ B2B and B2C e-commerce professionals, 200+ solution providers and agencies, and 200+ hours of CPD-accredited content across 10 conference theatres. Entry was free for retailers and B2B and B2C brands, and the 2026 theme was “Building smarter commerce” — profitable growth, high-converting customer journeys and operations that protect margin. The full programme was on the official Ecommerce Expo website.
Magebit at Ecommerce Expo 2026
Booth: Stand F20, the Hyvä stand, which we shared with other Hyvä partners including Hypernode, Amasty and Gene Commerce. As a Hyvä Platinum partner agency, we were there to meet merchants on Magento and Adobe Commerce weighing a Hyvä storefront, a replatform or a performance fix.
Team: Arturs Kruze and Nigel Leadbitter.
Beyond Hyvä, the conversations we came for were checkout and payments, personalisation, and B2B commerce — the categories Magebit was listed under in the exhibitor guide.
Highlights
- AI and shopping behaviour: Richard Shotton, author of The Choice Factory, opened the Headline Stage with “When AI Starts Shopping: What Still Makes People Buy?”.
- Agentic commerce: Hilary Platt (OpenAI), Joe Strolz (Shopify) and Jonathan Whiteside (DEPT®) discussed how AI agents are changing product discovery and what “agent-ready” means for a catalogue.
- Responsible AI: Toju Duke (Diverse AI) gave a keynote on the risks, red flags and rules that matter for AI governance in e-commerce.
- Retail growth: a panel with Space NK, B&Q, G-Star RAW and a former Under Armour director on winning profitably when customers shop everywhere.
- The end of traditional e-commerce? Sharon Gai (Culture Fluid) opened day two on how AI will reshape online shopping and growth strategy.
