About eCommerce Latvia Community Meetup #7

eCommerce Latvia Community Meetup #7 was held on Thursday, 28 May 2026, from 17:00 at the Magebit office (Uriekstes iela 2A, Riga). Hosted by Magebit and LATEKA, the Latvian E-commerce Association, it was a talks-and-open-discussion evening on the trends shaping the Latvian and Baltic e-commerce market, for merchants, developers and e-commerce professionals; 84 guests registered. Event details were published on Luma.

Three speakers from different corners of the ecosystem covered B2B commerce inside a large organisation, selling a niche product in a crowded market, and how payments affect conversion.

Magebit at Meetup #7

Magebit hosted the evening at its Riga office together with LATEKA — the association Magebit helped found and whose board is chaired by Magebit CEO Artūrs Krūze. After the talks, the floor opened for a discussion and Q&A, then networking and drinks.

Highlights

  • “Even the Big Players Struggle: eCommerce Challenges Inside a Large B2B Organization” — Ivars Klints, Segment Manager (B2C) at Inter Cars, on the operational hurdles, internal complexity and strategic trade-offs of driving digital growth inside an enterprise.
  • “Selling a Niche Product in a Saturated Market: How to Stand Out When Everyone Sells the Same Thing” — Marta Šulce, founder of Silmachy, on differentiation, positioning and building a distinct brand that attracts loyal customers.
  • “How Payments Impact eCommerce Conversion Across the Baltics” — Valērija Kaskeviča, Senior E-commerce Project Manager at Klix (AS Citadele banka), on how payment methods, checkout experience and customer expectations shape buying behaviour in Baltic markets.
  • Open discussion and Q&A — attendees compared notes on the opportunities and challenges facing e-commerce in Latvia and the wider Baltic region.

About eCommerce Latvia Community Meetup #6

eCommerce Latvia Community Meetup #6 was held on Thursday, 26 March 2026, from 17:00 to 21:00 at the Magebit office in Riga, co-hosted by the eCommerce Latvia Community and Magebit. The sixth edition spotlighted niche manufacturing and global sales: four speakers from Erica Synths, JZ Microphones, Trodo and WD Market each took one part of the problem — growth, conversion, trust and buying psychology. In all, 88 guests registered on Luma, where event details were published: eCommerce Latvia Meetup #6 on Luma.

With speakers from Latvia’s music technology scene, the sessions showed how high-quality, specialised products sell in international markets through smart e-commerce execution — not scale for its own sake, but the right combination of product, positioning and buying experience.

Magebit at Meetup #6

Magebit hosted the meetup at its Riga office for founders, operators and growth teams. Each session addressed a point where most stores struggle:

  • Evolution — what changes as a brand grows and expands into global markets
  • Conversion — what actually moves a visitor from browsing to buying
  • Trust — how consistency and small details shape customer confidence over time
  • Psychology — what reduces hesitation and drives faster purchase decisions

Highlights

  • “The Evolution of Erica Synths E-Commerce: Lessons Learned Along the Way” — Ģirts Ozoliņš, founder of Erica Synths, on how an e-commerce business evolves as it grows: what changes, what breaks, and what has to adapt to support global demand.
  • “3 E-commerce Tactics That Turn Strangers into Paying Customers” — Andris Zemmers, CEO of JZ Microphones, broke down three specific, repeatable tactics that convert first-time visitors into buyers.
  • “No Detail is Too Small: How Nuance and Consistency Build Customer Trust” — Sandis Romanovskis, Head of Customer Service at Trodo, on how small, consistent customer experience decisions build credibility and long-term trust.
  • “One Method That Stimulates Customers’ Buying Decisions” — Thomas Bērziņš, Business Development Team Lead at WD Market, on a focused approach to influencing purchase decisions, reducing friction and speeding up action.
