Shopify in Latvia with Magebit was an exclusive merchant dinner held on Wednesday, 8 October 2025, from 16:30 at Osta restaurant (Matrožu iela 15, Riga), the evening before RIGA COMM. Hosted by Shopify in partnership with Magebit, it was the first on-site Shopify event in Latvia: a private, closed-circle evening for e-commerce managers from Latvia’s largest online stores, with Shopify representatives and the Magebit team in the room. A strict no-agency policy applied — the only non-merchant attendees were Shopify and Magebit as hosts — and merchants who felt they should have been invited could apply for Shopify to review their eligibility.

Magebit at the dinner

Magebit co-hosted the evening as Shopify’s partner in the Baltics. Artūrs Krūze (CEO & co-founder), Kristaps Rjabovs (co-founder) and Nauris Mikelsons (Head of Development) attended for Magebit, alongside Shopify’s Fiona Kutay and Christopher Schmidt (Senior Account Executives) and Alex Kleine-Börger (Solutions Engineer). Magebit introduced itself with a short “Magebit in a nutshell” presentation and spent the evening talking with merchants about building, migrating and growing on Shopify. • A room of Latvia’s largest online stores — dinner and conversation at Osta, closing with a group photo of merchants and hosts. Shopify’s Fiona Kutay later described it as Shopify’s first-ever commerce networking event in Riga.
