Wrapping-Up Meet Magento New York 2022

The fall of 2022 is definitely becoming the most saturated-with-events season for the Magebit team. Right after we successfully finished our first-ever on-site coding bootcamp, we started preparing for the must-attend in the world of eCommerce – Meet Magento NYC 2022.

Moreover, our eCommerce ninjas decided to organize a professional meet-up in New York before the iconic conference. But let’s go through all the impressions one bite at a time!

Meet Magento — finally back in-person

After a 3-year break caused by the pandemic, the powerful digital commerce conference was back in-person! On September 23, the long-awaited event took place at one of the most spectacular spots of the Big Apple — Pier Sixty.

The conference declared itself (and turned out to be) an incredible, packed-with-value ecosystem for meaningful collaborations and networking opportunities.

Brands, solution providers, technology experts, influencers, Magento/Adobe Commerce enthusiasts, and developers from across the world and the US came to be a part of this dynamic environment.

Our stellar line-up was there too…

Dream team off to NYC

Magebit couldn’t miss the once-a-year opportunity to meet the Magento community, and share with others what we’ve learned from literally thousands of support tickets and dozens of successful projects.

Ready to give advice on how to build and launch powerful online stores, our expert squad was additionally planning to bring back game-changing insights into the future of eCommerce.

On September 19, the amazing team of 5 packed staff and bordered a flight to the world’s business hub — New York City.

The line-up for team Magebit was:

  • Arturs Kruze, Co-founder of Magebit.
  • Kristaps Rjabovs, Co-founder of Magebit.
  • Karlis Stipnieks, Head of Business Development.
  • Elina Loseva, eCommerce Project Manager.
  • Nauris Mikelsons, eCommerce Project Manager.

After the landing and some sightseeing, the Magebit crew got back to preparation as we had a specialized networking event planned the next day.

Magebit networking event: a warm-up before Meet Magento

On September 20, in Bowery, Lower Manhattan, Magebit hosted a powerful, in-person eCommerce event. Our speakers successfully covered several substantial topics.

Elina shared tips and tricks on how to successfully sell to lazy visitors. Nauris gave a comprehensive presentation on how to decide what features are worth implementing. Karlis presented a backed-by-facts overview of what merchants should expect in 2023.

Once the dynamic part was over, the event turned into networking where questions about online shopping were asked and answered.

Squeezing the most out of every minute

The next several days before Meet Magento 2022 were packed with meeting clients and lots of sightseeing. The Magebit crew was charging with new impressions and managed to explore many of the must-see places and boroughs of the Big Apple.

Brooklyn Bridge, China Town, Little Italy, Manhattan, Time Square. The New York Public Library, the spectacular 93rd floor of One Vanderbilt, and the picturesque Central Park with its curious squirrels. Here’s the proof!

The Big Magento Day

Expert speakers, insightful presentations, meaningful conversations, and eCommerce enthusiasts from across all industries. All these components created an amazing atmosphere, turning the event into the ecosystem that defines the future of eCommerce.

The conference was a massive opportunity to promote business, find new partners, share ideas, and grab significant insights about what’s around the corner in digital shopping.

The agenda was packed with valuable presentations by expert speakers from world-known brands. The topics and panels were organized into three tracks — technical, business, and solutions,— to cover changes taking place in eCommerce from every angle.

Trending shopping practices, momentum-gaining solutions, and changes in hosting, upselling, and delivery. Meet Magento literally staffed its attendees with insights, ideas, and meaningful connections.

"Meet Magento New York was an impressive event, loaded up with true lust for Magento. Networking was totally blowing us out of the water. We met so many new people there and establish contacts not only with potential future clients but also with Adobe company and different agencies and vendors like Checkout.com or Hyva," comments Elina Loseva.

MageTalk: a bit more of a personal vibe

The next day after #MMNYC22, our team attended MageTalk — a Magento 2 community meet-up. The event was all about great conversations about MageOS, and new initiatives by the Magento community aimed to take Open Source to the next level.

All that was happening in a relaxed yet so New-Yorkish atmosphere at the Stitch Bar & Blues. A great goodbye from New York to all the conference attendees as for many of them it was the last day in the city.

The value behind Meet Magento New York

"It was so inspiring to see everyone from the Magento community in-person. The atmosphere was so warm-welcoming and friendly. The event charges you with the strong feeling that you’re a part of the world-changing community. And you bring that drive back to your team, your projects, and the solutions you work on," says Arturs Kruze.
