Too heavy
The brand store. Seconds hide in media, theme JS, apps and tags. The work is a page-weight diet.
Shopify’s servers are already fast. Your theme, apps and media are what’s slow, and no one-click booster fixes engineering problems. We do.

On mobile, load time decides bounce, conversion and how far your ad budget stretches, before anyone sees your products.
Most mobile visitors abandon pages that drag. They don’t complain, they just never appear in your analytics.
Core Web Vitals feed rankings, and Shopify hands you the real-user data in your own admin.
Every click that bounces off a heavy page is spend with no chance to convert.
When visitors act before pixels load, conversions vanish from Klaviyo flows and ad attribution.
Not because of Shopify. Because of what got installed on top of it.
Thirty apps, each injecting scripts onto every page, whether that page uses them or not.
Uninstalled apps that left their code behind. It still loads, for a feature you removed a year ago.
Full-resolution uploads displayed at a fifth of the size, on phone connections. Half your page weight, one folder.
Premium themes shipping JavaScript for every feature they support, including the twenty you’ll never turn on.
Pixels, heatmaps, chat, review badges, popups, each one tiny, together the slowest thing on the page.
Filtering, swatches and metafield rendering that were fine at 200 products and crawl at 20,000.
A content-led brand store and a 20,000-SKU catalog don't slow down the same way, and paying for the wrong fix is expensive.
The brand store. Seconds hide in media, theme JS, apps and tags. The work is a page-weight diet.
The catalog store. Weight sits in filtering, metafield loops, discovery apps. The fix is Liquid engineering.

Find out where your seconds go
Most stores are a bit of both. The audit says which, and where the budget goes.
Measured at the start, proven at the end, guarded after.
Five money pages
Home, collection, product, cart and landing, measured the same way before and after.
No “advanced optimization techniques”, just the actual work.
Section and snippet refactoring, render-blocking code untangled, unused theme features stripped, JavaScript loaded only where it runs, and Online Store 2.0 used the way it was meant to be.
Every installed app’s frontend cost measured, leftover code from uninstalled apps removed from theme files, script injection replaced with theme app extensions where vendors offer them, and the app list weighed against revenue.
Images sized and served correctly through Shopify’s CDN, responsive sizes matching what’s actually displayed, lazy loading below the fold and never on the hero, font loading that doesn’t flash or block.
Third-party tags audited and governed, load order fixed, and where tracking weight fights conversion data, server-side tracking so pixels stop taxing the page at all.
Filtering and swatch logic engineered for large catalogs, metafield rendering optimized, and pagination that stays quick at any depth.
Shopify hosts checkout and it’s fast by design. What adds weight is what gets attached to it, checkout UI extensions and tracking scripts, so we keep the money path lean.
The average store runs 25+ apps and can't say what a single one costs. Our audit ends that, including the ghosts of uninstalled ones.
Every installed app, its measured cost, and what it does for the business. No app is removed on our opinion alone.
Huge catalogs, heavy internationalization and app-like storefronts genuinely need it. Most stores don't, and we'll tell you which you are.
Headless trades the theme editor and app ecosystem for control. That trade has to be worth it on your numbers, not on a trend, so we show you the math first.
Most stores get fast through theme and app work, at a fraction of headless cost.
When rendering outgrows Liquid, Hydrogen and the Storefront API deliver app-grade speed.
The typical optimization gig ends at the invoice, and the store is slow again by the next campaign.
A page-weight budget with teeth
Thresholds in writing, and every future app, tag and feature measured against them.
Watched every 5 minutes
Real pages monitored around the clock, so a regression is our alert, not your surprise.
Every release, speed-checked
Performance review runs in our quality gates, so a page-dragging section is caught early.
BFCM-ready on purpose
Apps, tags and theme get a pre-peak audit, so the store meets Black Friday already trimmed.
Not lab demos, live Shopify stores through real peaks.

Merchants show me a speed-booster app and a store that’s still slow. The seconds are in the theme, apps and images, and finding them is engineering, not magic. Send me your store.

Almost always some mix of six things: too many apps injecting scripts, leftover code from uninstalled apps, oversized images, a JavaScript-heavy theme, an accumulation of third-party tags, and collection pages straining at catalog scale. It’s rarely Shopify itself, the platform and its CDN are fast. The audit tells you your store’s exact mix, with each cause measured.
No, and be wary of anyone who does before seeing your store. We baseline with Shopify’s real-user data and Lighthouse, set the realistic target from the audit, and report every change against it. The results are measured, not promised in advance.
Nothing gets removed without your sign-off, the audit shows each app’s speed cost next to its business value, and you decide. Every change passes review and staging validation with proof, and deploys never take the store offline.
Usually neither. Most stores get fast through app, media and theme-code work. If the theme truly is the ceiling, or the case for headless is real, you’ll see it as a separately priced option with the numbers, never as a default.
The fix is a project, staying fast is a habit, monitoring, a page-weight budget and pre-peak audits keep it. Most clients keep us on support so the next app install doesn’t undo the work.
Not a sales script.
Your causes, your quick wins, your ceiling.
The findings are yours to keep.
