Full digital commerce solution for a large hardware store group

About the project

Aubuchon Hardware had their website built on Adobe Commerce Cloud but their board was not entirely satisfied with it. The company is ran by very ambitious professionals for whom mediocrity is not acceptable. So they had set their eyes on a progressive web application rebuild so the whole shopping experience feels like a mobile app and is very easy and intuitive.

Client Challenges

Such an ambitious project had various challenges to overcome. Among them were:

1. Achieving speed performance that bypasses the fierce competition (passing core web vitals, near-100 pagespeed scores)
2. Having a thoughtful design that follows mobile-first approach, is on top of the latest trends and design practices, and converts incredibly well
3. Providing local shopping experience based on the nearest store for the visitor
4. Personalizing the online store for various shopping journeys based on different parameters and traffic sources
5. Ensuring all of the above for such a complex omni-channel, multi-brand store on Adobe Commerce Cloud (10+ brands, 100+ physical scores)
