Customers can verify their purchases through Habanos S.A. barcode checks, providing an additional layer of trust and confidence when buying premium cigars online.
As the business expanded across international markets, it needed a faster, more scalable ecommerce platform capable of supporting a growing multi-site network and increasingly complex cross-border operations.

About the project
Swiss Cuban Cigars had outgrown its legacy Magento frontend. As the business expanded across international markets, maintaining performance, consistency, and a seamless customer experience across multiple storefronts became challenging.
Magebit was brought in to migrate the network to Hyvä Commerce and Venta, creating a faster, more scalable foundation for future growth.

Magebit moved the network off the heavy legacy Luma frontend onto Hyvä, rebuilt with Venta, for a faster, lighter, more scalable experience across every store.
Modernizing the multi-site experience
Magebit modernized the multi-site structure and unified branding across storefronts using Venta templates. The team also delivered new web and mobile designs, a redesigned reviews experience, and a dedicated right-to-left storefront for the Arabic market.
Improving content and SEO
By bringing the blog and buying guides into Magento, Magebit created a more seamless content experience while improving SEO.
Simplifying international shopping
Magebit integrated Linnworks inventory management and developed country-aware stock, shipping, and checkout logic, ensuring customers only see products that can be purchased and delivered in their region.
Enabling cross-border growth
Magebit streamlined payments and checkout across international markets by supporting multiple payment providers, currencies, tax requirements, and regional purchasing rules. Beyond the migration, the team delivered a Magento 2.4.8 upgrade and a dedicated Cigar Advisor experience for product discovery.
